i realized i haven't posted anything in months, so i decided that since i'm sick of doing homework, i'll post something, even though i really don't have much to say.
i don't think any mercy girls will read this, but i'll say it any way. someone was smoking crack in the foyer a little while ago, and i think that's really discusting. no one can stop you from smoking on your own time, but the foyer smelled nasty that day, so please do that OUTSIDE of school. stink up somewhere else, in a place where no one except you can smell it. i seriously don't care if or what you smoke, just don't do that in public.
oh, and another thing, i really don't care if Sr. Mary (principal) or Sul (vice principal) finds this blog and takes action. the less people stink up this school, the better.

serious game.
it was pretty hard thinking of an "educational" game i could design on game maker. finally i came up with this:
it's a space invaders type thing, only you shoot certain objects and not others. there are 6 objects: text books, friends, games, beer, drugs, and violence. shoot the bad ones (beer, drugs, violence) but don't hit the good ones (friends, games, text books). if any objects hit the bottom the game is over.
this game shows that when lots of things are pressing down on you, it is possible to get rid of/avoid bad pressures with out sacrificing good things.

I just lost The Game.
For whoever plays The Game, you know you cannot win The Game. Or can you? What if you get amnesia? What if you die while not thinking about The Game? What about The Game 2.0 (thanks, Hobbit)?
Another Board Game
I have to write something about the game I'm helping make in computer game class. I can't remember exactly what I'm supposed to write about, but I'll talk about the game.
I just lost The Game. (for those of you who don't play The Game, I'm not talking about the board game)
Yeah, this board game is kinda like Candy Land, only more interesting. your goal is to reach the magical sword and go to the witch's castle, but along the way you can be changed into different animals. That may or may not be good; animals have certain advantages over humans, but only a human can carry the sword/enter the castle. yeah, that's the basic summary.
I think I'm supposed to blog about what I learned or something like that. Oh, I remember! what I learned about making a board game! Ok. I learned that it takes much time and many changes. You have to play the game you're creating a few times to fix every mistake, and even then you won't fix them all. It's like writing a book; your first draft WILL be bad, but you go back and fix it a lot and in the end, it will probably come out good. Another way board games are like books is you will never have a completely origninal game. Your mind will always be taking from other games.

Board Game
I started to design a board game in class today. It was like Life, only with the business world. Everyone starts as a poor aspiring business man ( or woman according to Jasmine) and makes different choices throughout the game. Different choices take you on different paths, and you can end at either Successful CEO, Happily (and richly) Married, or Broke and Homeless. But if we made that game there would be copywrite issues with whatever company made Life.
About Me
Hey. I'm Michelle. My friend Jasmine says hi. Anyway, I'm supposed to blog about myself for my computer game class. Basically, I like reading and art, especially literature (and I love to write). I live in CT and I go to an all girl's private high school, where Jasmine would die, since the only guys are teachers, and that's not exactly legal (she's kinda very boy crazy, she admits it). I don't do webkinz (Jasmine's comment: "NO! I don't understand why..."), but at the store today I almost bought a webkinz snake.
My definition of a game: a type of entertainment that you interact with. Jasmine thinks it's an entertainment form with out the expence of being bored (I know this is supposed to be about me, but Jasmine is kinda sitting right next to me). Basically, I think both definitions mean the same thing. Whatever.

For all you Twilight people...
I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but I want Bella to be with Jacob. Edward is too over protective, and believe me, that sucks in a boyfriend.
