Learning an instrument

There are 10 bajillion web sites that claim they can teach you an instrument. I don't care what they say, nothing can compare to having a real lesson with an actual person. It's helpful to have someone help you when you don't know what to do. Web sites can't accurately show you how to hold the instrument or such things like that. Most likely, these sites were made by random people who may or may not be professionals at their instrument. If you can't afford to take lessons, the next best thing is a lesson book you can buy at any music store. If you can't afford even the small amount of money to buy a lesson book (my books cost 7.95 each), then how the heck can you afford the instrument?
